So I am not going to lie, we all care about what others think. But the moment I let go, and decided to put my happiness first, a huge burden left from my shoulders.
The moment I decided that I was not going to let people affect me was the moment I could smile again. The moment I decided I was not going to care about the judgment of other people was the moment that I did not have to be scared. Once you let go and allow yourself to feel, and be ok with being happy with who you are as a human, you will experience life in a whole new way.
The two times I felt this way in my life was when I accepted Jesus to come into my heart and when I accepted that I was going to marry a girl.
Two things that changed my life: accepting that God will love me no matter what and accepting that I will put my happiness first.
Ecclesiastes 9:7
“Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.”
The Good News: If you have put your full trust in God, you will be granted happiness and don’t need to worry about misfortune.
I look back and remember when I used to be scared to tell people what I think and believe and I would act differently and not be happy. But when I decided to be myself, and decided IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT PEOPLE THINK, you see life a whole new way.
God loves me no matter what. People are going to judge, that’s just a sad part of life. But what we can change is the simple fact that we don’t have to let their judgment effect us.
Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”
Now don’t get me wrong, when I get those mean comments and looks it still hurts... but I just have learned to LET IT GO! It’s ok! People can look and stare all they want because it doesn’t affect me anymore. I know in my heart that I am loved. But the Lord and my community love me, and always will, and that is what matters. And that’s ok!
You have to believe in yourself. Believe and know that you deserve to be happy. The lord loves you, I love you, and you, no matter who you love or who you are, are loved.
Please message me if you have any questions or want to talk about this. It’s a process. It takes time. But it’s so worth it.
